Okay so I had my daughter October 2ND, 2008. I have always hated the idea of birth control but know that the responsible choose is to use it since I choose to be sexually active. aND In December I went on a pill to make sure I didn't have another child before I graduated high school aND college. Well I couldn't remember to take it so in January 2009 I got mirena put in me. It was very painful for a few weeks. But it is 99.99% accurate from keeping a girl from getting pregnant. Well any ways. I am breastfeeding still and I still get my period. And this time it is majorly painful! My body acts like I'm pregnant time I have my period then all of that goes aways when it starts that's been going on for the last couple months. And I have been majorly moody. SO my question for you other moms is what do you all do for the pain? And is it normal to have your body act weird like your pregnant when your brestfeeding or on birth control? I can only take tylenol since I'm brest feed what else can I do? AlwaysN4everHISbABYgIRL

Given the problems you are having and how severe they are, consider asking your doctor or pharmacist if these are normal side effects of Mirena and how to deal with them.
