Ultrasound Results and a Q

Hi plus sized moms,

We had our big ultrasound yesterday, and it looks like we are having a little girl.

It took her about 40 minutes or so to get all the imaging she wanted/needed, and a LOT of poking and prodding.  Since I already have a fleshy belly, it was fairly uncomfortable, and today I feel bruised.  Is that normal?

I bet I'm more "fleshy" that you are and I had a sono this week. The tech did push around but it wan't uncomforable. He got everything he needed (it took almost an hour!) and I feel fine. I bet each tech is different - some are good at what they do and some aren't. Sorry they pushed so hard!

One of my ultrasound ladies pushes so hard I hurt for days afterwords and the other one has no issue being gental and got better pics BLAH who knows hun but I am sorry you hurt and congrats on the girl

I havent had one yet, so i can't comiserate with you. Just wanted to say Congtrats! I hope the tech is a little gentler next time!

thanks ladies...I am back to my old self, though I was uncomfortable for a few days.  Knowing that everything was okay in there was worth it, though.
