Sweet potato pie!  Yummy!
I got sweet potatos Sunday at church (they were doing a fundraiser) so, since I also got squash, I decided to make sweet potato pie.  I've never had sweet potato pie before, very good!

Oooooh - this is now my favorite picture of Augie and you!  It's beautiful!  Get it enlarged and frame it.   Oh and, change your avatar too!  LOL

David's looks nice too.    It's a shame you couldn't have one on the bench of all three of you.

Augie & Bella The Dog (as opposed to my niece Isabel who is called Bella).  Bella is the neighbors dog and is quite old, 13 or so years?  She is almost deaf but still does get around ok.  She does NOT like children.  This is closer than she would really want Augie to get.  The neighbor lady & I were joking that she was saying "what's he doing here?  get him away from me!" and "whew, he's gone" when I picked Augie up.

A few weeks ago, David suggested seeing if Augie could get his own library card, especially since Augie's Grandma Sturrock was a librarian.  I stopped in to check today & they said he could have one.  Here is Augie with his first library card & the librarian who gave it to him.

Mangos!  Augie's Great Grandpa Sturrock (also named David!) was a mango grower & cultivated new varieties (2 recieved patents) and wrote about mangos and their cultivation.  His grandson says that Great Grandpa Sturrock, who's education ended at 8th grade, is a much more noted scholar in his field than said grandson is in his field for which this grandson has a PhD.  LOL  I hope you followed that!

Anyway, Augie must eat mangos!  He's had mangos mixed with applesauce (why is it that they insist on mixing so many fruits with applesauce?  annoying!) but I had to steam frozen mangos so I could puree them for Augie's dining pleasure.

I have recently made mangos for Thomas too!  He likes them.  As a matter of fact, that is what I left MIL to feed him for breakfast today!

Augie gets & likes the mesh feeder!  I gave it to him a month or so ago, but he didn't like it.  I decided to give it to him today with frozen blueberries in it thinking it might help if he is teething.  I had to put it in his mouth, but after a try or two, he got it and decided he liked it.  You'll note that I put a bib on to protect his dark blue outfit from blueberry stains but neglected to think about his white socks.  The other sock had blueberry stains as well by the time he was done.

Augie only knows how to go backwards or turn in circles - tonight he ended up under this Chinese table again.  Don't mind the dusty spots!

I just love Augie... but you do need to teach him how to get out of reverse or at least put a back-up beeper on the guy! :)
