. I am mom of a gorgeous one and a half year old boy, just moved to Brooklyn and love it here. I am opening a day care in Dyker Heights, and trying to make a innovative new music class for toddlers "Explore Music". I really think we have a great product here and with great value for a child's early education.
The class is for ages: 2-6 years old.

The Goal for Explore Music is to build children's repertoire of music, to become more music literate and develop their musical aural ability.
Activities and Exercises Include:
· Music as shapes and colors: this will teach them about beginning to listen to musical structures and phrases.
· Music as feelings: this will help them to begin learning about creative expression through music.
· Music setting a scene: we can create a story together and then try to play different parts of the story.
· Ear Training: play different intervals and I'll ask them if it sounds high or low, or if the notes sound close together or far apart.
· Rhythmic Training: this not only gets them to learn about having a good sense of rhythm, but also gets them expressing themselves through rhythm by creating their own.
Each class would focus on unique musical activities toward a different style of music using instruments, recordings, videos and teacher's live performance. During each class we will be using instruments such as: using violin, mandolin, electric violin, piano and xylophone.
