Do you use patterns? Or free-hand more?

I did my first with a pattern, then found some pictures online of things I wanted to make without the patterns. So, I just free-handed them. And they turned out better than I thought! Now, I never get the patterns. I either print out a picture of something I want to try, or more recently, I make up my own little things. I've been working on Halloween decor for my house, so its been pretty simple. Plus I made my oldest two kiddos personalized piggy banks. I'm going to post some pics. But, I'm courious to see how many of you ladies use patterns?

I always follow a pattern. I don't think I'd be patient enough to figure out how to make it on my own. You should take pics of some of your work and post it!

i find a picture and use this program and it helps turing it into a plastic canvas pattern
