Why People Run From Network Marketing

1.  Failure to see the Big Picture.

When it comes to network marketing you have to see the big picture.  The people who can't see the big picture generally want nothing to do with it.

Those same people will go work for someone else and trade their time and skills for a paycheck because it's steady income.  They don't realize they are working for someone else's Big Picture and making someone else's dream come true instead of their own.

2.  It requires work, investment of your time and money.

This one really scares people off from network marketing.  Too many people are still looking for a get rich quick scheme or they want to sit around and not put much effort into anything.

3.  They've already tried something and it wasn't for them.

A lot of people have tried network marketing and since it didn't work for them, they assume it's always that way.  They never consider that they might have chosen a company or product they didn't believe in.  Without belief and passion--no company would survive.  Mary Kay Ashton is a good example of this.  She was told her company would never make it.

In case you didn't realize it, company's like Mary Kay, Avon, Watkins and Tupperware--are network marketing companies.  How often have you purchased those products or know someone who does?  Other people believed in those companies and worked hard for them.  The rest is history.

If you're not with a company that you can believe in, you're just not going to grow a profitable income for yourself, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work.  It means it wasn't right for you.

4.  People want something for nothing.

I'm not sure when this kind of thinking bled into our society, but it's had devastating effects.  People who aren't willing to invest in themselves should continue working at a regular job for slave wages, making someone else a nice fat profit.  You can't get something for nothing.

There's no business on the face of this planet that wasn't started without investments--whether it be time, money, training or all three.  Someone had to put in time and money for those businesses to grow.

Ride through your town and look at all the businesses you pass.  Those businesses are there because someone had a vision and a dream.  They invested time and money into building that dream.  Network marketing simply removes the building--it is still a thriving business model.

5.  Fear

People are just afraid of new things and afraid of trying.  Their friends and family might laugh and put them down.

Once upon a time some people gathered some ships and left one side of the ocean, traveled across the big ocean and found the other side.

Were they afraid?  You bet they were, but their excitement and determination were greater than their fear.  They didn't bother listening to the naysayers and plunged ahead.  Where would you be today if they had let their fears win out?

6.  Lack of knowledge and training.

People who don't understand the system or business model of network marketing will not see the big picture and will assume it doesn't work.  They will let this ignorance keep them from even trying.

Knowledge and training are given freely every day of the week.  The internet makes it available 24/7.  The library is full of books for the sole purpose of giving you knowledge.  All you have to do is seek out this knowledge so you can gain understanding.  People who are unwilling to seek knowledge and apply it to their lives should continue working for slave wages making someone else a big fat profit.

7.  Fear of selling

Not all network marketing companies require you to sell products, but it's something people fear.  Most companies allow you to build a team instead of selling--but this topic is the fear of selling.  The same people who are afraid of selling will generally have jobs at McDonalds, Wal Mart, a flower shop or a convenient store, etc.  Well guess what?  They're selling something to someone.  They may think they just stand behind a register and collect money, but if a customer asks them for help or to suggest a product--they're selling.

I'd much rather sell someone a quality candle than a preservative laden hamburger---and I get to keep the profit.

8.  Afraid to recruit.

This is where team building comes in.  They don't want to 'convince' anyone else to join.  Well if someone needs convincing, you don't want them on your team.

If you're out looking for a job and ask people who's hiring, how many of those people will suggest their own place of employment?  Oh, it's better to work in some slaughter house factory job than to work for yourself and build your own team.  Right?

You sure wouldn't want to tell people that you have an awesome product that doesn't require gutting chickens or that you're building a team of like minded people.   No, don't bother telling them they could eventually leave that great poultry plant and work strictly for themselves.  No, it's better to just send them to the poultry plant so they can spend their day gutting chickens.  It doesn't take much vision or determination for that.

*We have a lot of poultry plants in Arkansas.  I refuse to work at one, but there are people who would love the opportunity to walk away from those jobs in the future.  I don't suggest anyone quit their day job until they have grown their business--unless you are just that determined to make it or break it.

What I am suggesting is that you gain knowledge and understanding about this industry and keep looking for the one company with that awesome product that you can be proud of.

Let’s see - what do I do? I am the finder of all things lost. The rememberer of all birthdays, anniversaries, school calendars, sports practices, oil changes, tire rotations, underwear sizes, and how long that box of baking soda has been in the refrigerator. I am the first person up in the mornings and the last to hit the pillow at night. Oh yeah - I own a business too. LOL

But the thing I wanted to promote is - freelance writing. This is something almost anyone can do, and you can make quite a bit of extra cash doing it. Web content length articles of 400 to 600 words can be sold for as much as $12 to $18 an article at Associated Content - and even higher on Constant Content. Registration to sell your articles is free at both places, and if you’re interested, click a link below:
