This is sort of an open question because it’s something I’ve been researching lately - well, truth be known, it’s been on my mind sine 9/11. Would you guys be interested in a Survivalist category? Just basic information such as:
8 drops of chlorine bleach per gallon of water will protect water from contamination during storage for up to 6 months.
Or this one - which is a favorite of mine - to test water quality for drinking when in the wilderness, find a bull frog and see if he will stay in the water when you toss him in. If he stays - the water is perfectly safe to drink - if he hops right out - the water is bad.
Dehydrated carrots will last in a sealed container for 7 years.
Things like this?
I was thinking, there’s so many of the “old ways” that we’ve gotten away from over the years, such as the use of natural cures, the old root cellars for food storage, and cistern well systems, priming a pump - all those old methods of survival are all but forgotten. Would you guys be interested in some of these?
