Hey guys,
You haven't heard much from me around here, I'm usually playing behind the scenes. But I thought I'd share something our family has started for the Christmas holiday.
After having a big Thanksgiving meal with turkey, dressing and all the fixings--it seemed like Christmas was too soon to fix the same thing all over again. So we started picking cultural theme foods to fix for Christmas.
This year will be "German" so if anyone has any great German recipes, please feel free to share them.
Have a great week everyone!

I cannot spell this - and it may be Russian instead of German - but... Baklavah? It's a very delicate pastry, with many thin fine layers, filled with a nutty, creamy - sort of filling. I've only tasted it once, at a friend's Christmas party, and I can't remember if she said it was German or Russian. But - oh my gosh! - is it ever Heavenly!!

We have to order Baklava every year for the oldest and youngest. It is heavenly. I don't remember but it may be Swiss--or something.
