Hi everyone! Im new to this so sorry if I don't understand the abbreviations :) Recently my 15 month old son has had a very hard time with nap and bed time. He screams bloody murder to fight the sleep he pinches, then when I walk away hoping he will go to sleep on his own he laughs like its all a joke! Its starting to really wear on me bringing me to tears. We have never had this problem before the bedtime routine hasnt changed but the time did go back and hour I am trying to bring myself to belive its the time change but I dont think it is!!! HELP!!!PLEASE!!! I'll take all and any advice thank you!
I think if he is laughing when you leave that to me says he knows what he is doing. Do you think? I don't know but at 15 months he is probably old enough to be smart enough to be doing these things on purpose. You know, we as mothers hate to hear our babies cry. But sometimes it is okay for them to cry a little. It actually clears out their lungs. I have a hard time with this too. Mine is only 11 months but I haven't been able to let her cry to. I guess I need to preach to myself too. My son turned 7 yesterday and I remember when he turned one. I decided it was time to get some sleep. And I did everything to make sure he was safe, fed, cleaned and there was nothing wrong and I just had to put him down and let him cry. He is a good sleeper and I am glad I did that. It was really hard. They eventually will only cry for a few minutes. BUT YOU NEED SOME YOU TIME!! So judge for yourself what to do and don't feel guilty, especially if nothing is wrong with him!
