Is my wooden handmade cradle safe?

Hi, I am getting ready to foster babies. I have a wooden cradle that is beautiful and structurly sound. I am wondering if there could be any safety hazzards with using a wooden cradle that I am just not aware of. It has no slats so it would just have bedding inside. Let me know what you think

A picture would help but I think it sounds safer then alot of the cribs out there being recalled and everything. That's an awesome thing you're doing : )
