I have a 4 month old girl. I am having a hard time with her napping well, and am not sure when I should be putting her to bed for the night. Right now she goes to bed anywhere between 9:30 and 11:00, depending on her feeding schedule (she eats every 3 hours during day). I really would like to put her to bed earlier. I guess the issue is that since I BF, and she wakes up at different times each am, we are on a different eating "schedule" each day. She's my 2nd (4 y/o boy), and I did not have ANY sleep issues with the first, so I'm feeling a bit defeated. Naps aren't going so well either. I am trying to give her more consistent nap times, but some times she'll take a 30 minute nap, sometimes 20, sometimes an hour. This is also throwing me with the bed time. Thanks for your suggestions!
It could be that she's learning new milestones that are keeping her from napping. Do you feed her on a schedule or that's just about how often she eats? I've heard that BF babies should just be fed on demand. What time does she normally wake for the day? Maybe try waking her at the same time each day and put her down for naps at the same time so you can get a consistant schedule started
