i dont know how many of you pray or whatever, but i have found that it is helping to give me the strength that i need to be with a soldier.  i was on one of the web pages and  i found this poem/prayer.  i love it and wanted to share with all of you.

Deployment Prayer

Dear Lord:
Give me the strength to say goodbye, hold back the tear in my eye, cure my insomnia so that  may sleep alone...give me a reason to wake up when i have none.
Dear Lord:
Please help me pace myself, allow me to turn to you for help, and please let me be strong for him, even if ive reached the brim.
Dear Lord:
Please make time go fast, i dont know how long i can last. this is the hardest time in my life, but this is my job...a soldiers wife.
Dear Lord:
Let them ALL stay strong, give them the will to go on. And Lord please bring back all our men.  In the name of our country...
AMEN!!!!

This is awesome...wished I had it earlier when my husband was deployed.  I will, however, keep it handy, just in case.  Thanks for sharing

With a couple of minor alterations, I am going to put this where I can pray it every day until my daughter once more returns home.  Thank you for sharing.

My DH just got back from Iraq a month ago.  I wish I had this then.  My prayers were very similar, they just didn't rhyme.  Thank you so much for sharing this.
