http://www.silentwarriors.net/acronyms.html

this address takes you to a website that is for new military families. what caught my eye was the acronyms page. I still get flustered with all the talk of BAQ, etc. lol

here is another site too

www.guardfamily.org

it has some good information on here too. you will have to sign up as a volunteer and you can go through and go and take these "classes" that correspond with your FRG. Its what they go off of for information.  There is a childrens one too. When you get done with them you contact the customer service people and they will send you a certificate.

there is also

www.defenselink.mil

also known as www.dod.gov

there you can access your mypay account and also pay raise status for the year.

www.aafes.com

for those of you who are political nuts..

www.pentagonchannel.com

if you want a good laugh here is a cross between the daily show and the colbert? report

www.onion.com

how can i forget!!

www.militaryonesource.com
the lifeline for all military and family!!

hope this gets some of you started etc..

tawnya

oh if you have anymore sites please PLEASE post some up here!!

www.daddydolls.com this is a website if you take a picture and send it to them this company will make a stuffed doll for a loved one. We got ones done of my husband for our girls when he deployed.

I know this one has been put on here already but www.militaryonesource.com has a dvd out there that is made by sesame street and it talks to kids on their level about a daddy or mommy going away for awhile. WONDERFUL DVD!

www.lovethetroops.com I got some AWESOME shirts made for my family when Greg deployed. Gotta love the sexually deprived for your freedom shirt. I wear mine proudly......or is that not so proudly.....I lost track.
