Lets face it dust is well every where you cant avoid it. To fight off the bunnies I try to vac each room once a week if I can. As for wood furinisher (I cant spell) I use plege it keeps the dust away and makes every thing shine. swiffer is great but the can get pricey and get dirty fast. I hoped my advice helps.

change the filters to your home air system regularly.  and dont' use the cheap ones.

The less nick knacks to hold dust, the less dust there is

they can be pricey (still on my wish list) but you can buy a air purifier.  We had a home display several years ago and I was AMAZED at how well it worked.--not just germs, we could SEE the particles in the air being cleared and when the water was emptied only 10 minutes later--YUCK.   But it was ugly as heck and big/bulky.  Would have looked like a shopvac sitting out in our house.  My Husband gets sinus headaches like mad though so I'm considering living w/ the eyesore if I can find one we can afford.

depending on who you ask...either theory can be argued:  A) open up the house and let some fresh air in. B)keep the windows closed and don't let outside dust IN.

Try dusting with whatever you use and then rub a fabric softener sheet on the area. I've never tried it but I know a girl who swears by it!
