Hi, I'm Cindy.  I am not a neat freak or anything but try constantly to declutter my house with 6 people in it.  My oldest teen is the worst to clean after as she is a packrat and used to keep even boxes she got toys in.  Now it's just small stuff but it adds up.   My suggestion to you is to get good boxes that are large enough for stuff you just don't use but want to keep like paperwork and just make a list of what paperwork it is and tape it to the box.  stack a few boxes of winter clothes or clothes you want to keep for later with that box and just label what's in it.   I'm taking it that w/half the closet being your mom's storage that you live with her??  Or not??    Her storage needs to be somewhere besides your closet like the under the bed storage boxes or maybe she needs to weed out what she's hiding in your closet???  Maybe you could ask her if she would let you put her hanging clothes in an airtight bag and suck the air from it but keep it hung up???Like the space bags???  I'd use even space under the baby's pack and play for storage.  Look in the desk drawers and see if you've touched that stuff for the last 6mos and just box it up and keep it under the desk til you can go thru it or need it?  just label it.      put those diapers in box cut to fit under your bed like an under the bed storage box, unless you can afford to buy two, and keep diapering stuff in one and baby clothes in the other (ones he doesn't wear right now)  so when you go to change his pants just pull the diapering box out if you need to refill your diaper bag?    looks like you have a couple of little tables that aren't being used.  I'd get rid of them.   They collect clutter.   Like the top of the dresser, it needs more of a function, like it could actually have nice neat stacks of diapers or clothes on it.     well if you have more details for me I can help more but he's going grocery shopping and I better get off the computer....I just like to brainstorm and it's easier if it's not my house, LOL   you can pm me!!

You might want to check out your dollar store for stackable cubes to put your small items then place then in the metal tier rack to look more organized.

Stackables like this one:

Sorry it's sideways lol. Anyway, Ibought this  a dollar each. I put all my baby's small toys there and like these lego blocks, also his match box cars collection and train tracks and mini trains. It's easier to clean up. And looks more organized.

I like you have 3 people in one room with 2 dressers, a queen size bed, a crib and a computer desk. We are kinda messy people and need help with getting everything in order. Our issue is the clothes too! :-/

i am not a neat freak but i use to be. after my youngest turned 1 who is 5 now i dont know what happened:(  i miss the neatness..lol  but i use a lot of them storage containers.  you can buy them everywhere just look for the sales.  like sweater boxes (16qt)  i use for like my kids little toys they fill alot in them. and i use the bigger ones to for the bigger toys.  and other things i need for the house.  i still need to go through alot. but they do help.  walmart isnt to bad in price for them. they were just on sale the medium sized ones for 4$ so i baught a few of them.  i hope this is some helpful.

I recently have been trying to get my house in order. I would suggest for the clothes, to go through and only put what you wear in the dresser. Any seasonal clothes or clothes the baby can't fit into yet into the vacuum space saver bags. You can find different varieties and sizes. They work great. And the biggest thing is to really get rid of anything you don't need. Helps out alot. You could get nice little baskets for on top of the dresser to organize diapers and such in.

Also Stackable tubs with covers for the clothes could also be an option. You seem like you'd have space for them. Clear up having clutter all over the room.
