Flat Panel Wrist Warmers

I've been wanting to post my wrist warmers but haven't been able to hang on to them long enough to get pictures!  Well, these are my own!

These are just made from flat panels and then stitched together with a tapestry needle.  I just put the panel on my hand to figure out where to leave the opening for my thumb.  I crocheted a small edge around the tops.

They look great. Thanks for posting.  I have always wondered how well the seems look when put together verses how the one solid round ones are made.   I actually thought about trying a pair made like yours after I make another pair on the round.  Unless I decide otherwise. lol.  Hmm, maybe I will. Dunno. lol.  You know I have to try different things, different ways. :)

The seams don't even show.  I couldn't get a picture to show the seam because the color was black and it didn't show up at all.

With the basic stitch they probably do not show. You are right.  I guess it would depend on what type of stitch is used, and how good the person is with the mattress stitch to put it together.  I usually don't have a problem with that part.  But with different yarn type and different stitch type, I will have to play and see how it looks. lol  I am suppose to make a pair for my DDs teacher, and I sometimes think about making them with the flat panel method.

Do you think the colors lime green with a little purple will look ugly?  She loves that green and she likes purple. So my dd wanted me to use those two colors.  I think they look ok. My husband thought it would look ugly with those two colors together. lol

LOL.

I just had a bad thought.  I was thinking maybe I should get stupid, or something, and get some purple fun fur to go witht he purple for the end of them.  I have soooo many ideas for different styles and what I can do with them, but that means I would have to make a LOT of them. lol.

I have dark purple in the acrylic yarn, but only a lighter purple that is the same yarn as the green.

Just got back home and can check back on here.  Now I wish I had lime green, and maybe purple for other projects. lol
