About me and my health and  weight loss.

I was 399lbs and woke up feeling like I was going to die.  Something clicked in side me and said you have to get this weight off and start doing it right now if you don't you won't see your kids grow up, you won't see them graduate, you won't see them get married and you won't see your grandkids.  You
won't be here for your husband and his kids.  Other reasons that have keep me going are I want to be able to roller skate again without feeling like I'm going to kill over.  Used to do that for hours on end til I married my now ex.  Want to be able to walk far without huffing and puffing and go up hills
without killing over to the ground. Those were my main reasons I started losing.

When I first started losing it my health was terrible and is much better now.  My Hubby says he loves me at any weight but I can tell he is liking it better that I'm skinnier then I was when I married him.   I was 280lbs when he married me but he's known me for a long time so he saw me when I was 200lbs too.  Now that I'm feeling healthy again I'm fine were I am but still going to keep up the healthy eating and exercise because I'd love to be under 200lbs last time I was was just before I got preggers with my son.  I've been between 170lbs and 399lbs every since I was 20 years old.

I usually try to eat alot of veggies, a few fruits, whole grains, Chicken, Fish, and healthy oils and drink lots of water. Think main thing that has helped me alot is working out.  When I started working out I couldn't even do 3 minutes of stretching without having to stop now I can get up and move like I used to a long time ago.  Also can do 10 miles of walking when I couldn't do more then
3 min before.  I love Walking away the pounds and Walking Away the pounds express and then I have my ball exercises too.  We got a bowflex for $250 from some guy that wanted to get rid of his so I'm doing  alittle strength training the last few months too, Stretching has helped me in so many ways.  As for fat I try to stay under 30g but most the time I stick to 15 to 20g.  I didn't realize I was keeping it to that til I started tracking what I'm eating.  there are so many different Veggies and Fruits and grains that it's fun trying new things.  Anise I think is my favorite veggie it tastes like Licorce.  Calorie wise usually eat between 1200 and 1800 unless I exercise alot then I it with in a 500 def of calories burned for the day.

When I lose weight or I want to award myself for something I make sure it's not a food reward.  and if I eat something I don't think I should right then and there I pick up dust off and get back on track because if I let myself wait til next day that whole night I do things I wish I hadn't.  Biggest thing is forgiving myself when I do eat something that isn't good for me and staying Possitive.

Just today I was thinking to myself while I was walking my dog what an inspiration you are to me!  I've never met you but finally, FINALLY I know someone who took the weight off and stayed with it through the long haul.  I think it's the final key I needed to see it CAN be done.

So thank you for posting this... and for sharing your "loss" with the group.

We can do it ladies!

Your welcome and yes we all can.  I love how much healthier I'm getting as I lose and knowing I'm doing it in one of healthiest ways possible helps a ton too.
