It is with great sadness that I have to close my brick and mortar Global Gift Shop after the holidays. I surveyed aout 700 people on my mailing list and they said that my location is preventing them from coming in although they like me. I agree that sales have been low and the homeless people and teens hanging around outside (I've called polics but they keep coming back) ont help any.
In a way, I am glad. I can now focus all of my energy on my coaching practice, getting my books related to it done and my articles written and published on my website (www.activateyourfullpotential.com) and teach more morning zumba and yoga classes. My kids were with me at the store and this allows me more time for trips and for taking conference gigs out of state. I have an excellent mentor who is helping me with my practice). I am just going through so many emotions because Ive met so many people and I've put so much work into it. At least, I will still be able to sell at festivals once a month. In addition to this, I am becoming a Columbiette and am a member of the Chamber. Maybe I can actually attend an event or two. My corporate website is www.candidlycandaceinc.com
As they say when one door closes another one opens. I am Excited for you and your new journey. I am also a life coach and it is fulfilling and rewarding career and the funny thing is I love Yoga and attended my first Zumba class. I was thinking of become a Yoga or fitness instructor next year, just curious....How did you get started?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
I got started with yoga when I was disappointed at the amount of weight I had gained with my first pregnancy. I studied Yoga through Aura Wellness (google them..they have an online option) whom I highly recommend. For zumba, you can google "teach zumba in.." and add your state. I am happy about not being tied down to the store anymore. The world isn't like that anymore. I can go to festivals once a month like I used to (and still do) where people are there to shop, make money and then go home. I also have an online store and I am concentrating on my coaching practice: more seminars, webinars, radio shows, articles, books etc. I am happy . It has been emotional but I feel relief. I have more time with my kids without having to stay in a building with them working and I can feel like i am dong something. In addition, I get to go back to my choir that rehearses twice a month after a three year break!
Feel free to keep chatting with me. I love talking/writing!
peace and happiness,
Candace
