I know exactly how you feel. My husband and I were in the same boat. We had  one biological and were waiting to adopt our second child. It felt like it took forever. Our agency, although reputable, was not strong in domestic adoptions. We ended up getting an attorney who told us about a web site where we could post our profile. We did that and within4 months or so we were contacted by our son's BM. He was born 2 months after she contacted us and he is turning one next month.

My feeling is that there are only so many people who will go to your agency to look at profiles and that you may open more doors by posting it on a well known web site. It made us more hands on and we had to field e-mails/phone calls from BM (and some general nutty people) but for us, that was the way to go.

I wish you the best of luck. Hand in there and look for a adoption group in your area. Ours was a lot of support!

Remember, you have been blessed with one child already, as we were. Some people are doing this wait for their first child. I always tried to remember how hard it must have been for them.

Best of luck
