Author Cotty Versalles is a first-generation American who is raising two young daughters. She wrote this book because of questions she wanted to discuss with them and wished she could have found a resource to help her have those conversations. She offers A Better Me to fill that need.
The idea began when her first daughter, Pavielle, was six and questions arose such as:
"Why wasn’t I invited to my friend’s birthday party?"
"Why is it important to be charitable? Can kids be charitable?"
"What do you mean when you say, 'stay focused' during my ballet lessons?"
As she raised her second daughter, Seylon, the desire to do something became more than an idea. It became A Better Me.
Cotty offers guidance for common childhood situations with room for expression of each reader’s value system. The art work represents the diversity of Americans everywhere.
