Should we keep the Feasts YHWH set forth? Or, since we can no longer keep the blood sacrifice portion of the feasts, are they on hold until the second coming of the Messiah?
I have been studying the Feasts for some time now with a group on friday nights. There is so much I have learned that its hard for me to put it into words without jumping on a bunch of different trails. Maybe one day I can get my notes together to share with this group.
Anyway in answer to your question, this is what I have learned. (I'll try to keep it in a nutshell, lol.)
The Feasts were rehearsals for what was to come. The Messiah's First and Second coming. Yeshua's first coming fulfilled the Spring Feasts as the ultimate sacrifice. Therefore fulfilling the blood sacrifices. We should now be keeping the Spring Feasts as anniversaries.
There are Jews that are still wanting to sacrifice because they are still looking for the Messiah. They know that He is the ultimate sacrifice and will fulfill the Feasts. They just don't believe he has come yet. Which is why they still want to sacrifice. They are looking for a way to atone their sins, but we know who will atone our sins. Now we keep these Feasts as reminders of what He did for us.
I really hope this helped and didnt confuse you. I have a hard time putting it in the right words.
I believe we are to keep the Feasts of YHVH, yes! (And reject the "holidays" of pagan origin.) While we gave up pagan holidays several years ago, this is our first year to attempt keeping the Feasts. I pray that our feeble efforts will please Abba, and that He will receive glory from it. :o)
As far as the blood sacrifices.. That's a toughy. I used to think they are absolutely unnecessary, because Yeshua, the Lamb of YHVH, has already died for us. But someone mentioned to me that the sacrifices, like the feasts, are pictures/remembrances, and she also cited some Scriptures that mention sacrifices that will commence in the New Jerusalem. I haven't studied this out, but I now see how it would not be unfeasible in Eternity. We just lack the temple.
