Movie baskets: HELP, PICS, anything please! UPDATED w/ finished product...

I'm making movie baskets this year. I know lots of you have done it. I already have the baskets, the movie cards $10 a piece, popcorn and movie sized candies, and juice boxes for the kids. I will be picking up sodas later, I just don't know how to make it look NICE. KWIM? Or what else would go with the movie theme to go in them.

I will put the plastic wrap around them, tie it with a bow, made a little poem to explain that I was giving the gift of time with family. IDK, I can see it in my head, I just worry it won't come out that way. HELP please!! And pix of yours would be great!

 

 This is what I'm writing on the tag:

"I thought of you and what you'd need-

on a cold December eve'

This gift you see, that came to mind-

The gift of rest and family time

Now settle in and snuggle close-

Enjoy the treats and cozy toes

Have a super movie night!"

(I'm going to include super fuzzy socks if you were wondering about the toes part, lol)

You could also put some DVDs from the dollar store and some small bowls for individual bowls of popcorn.  Just a couple of ideas....

I used to make movie BOXES for my kids when they were growing up...just wrapped up like a gift.

Theirs always had a movie or 2, their favorite candy, favorite soda, other snacks, sometimes a fleece throw...a couple of yrs I threw in a pair of flannel jammie pants.

I considered buying actual movies, but decided the rental card was the way to go.

I ALSO thought about snuggies to go with them, lol, but that would get a little extreme. I would need 10 of them. I was trying to keep it cheap lol!

But maybe small fleece blankets... Bump for ideas and pix please!

I have done them 2 ways...

in a basket (choose a kinda small basket, so it looks like everything is BURSTING out)

or, in a dollar store chip bowl:
but without the fake popcorn spilled all over, haha

This is exactly what I was thinking it would look like. But I have shallower baskets, I'm hoping the cellophane will keep it all together and upright, and the ribbon.

Also, I was thinking a minute ago to include those UBER fuzzy socks, I've seen them at the dollar store, a pair for each. I'm excited! Thanks ladies!

I have a friend who work at the movie theater and I got her to give me BIG popcorn buckets for mine---talk to them, maybe they will let you buy some real cheap or even give them to you.

Use double-sided tape to hold things together before adding the cellophane. That's what the big companies do.

If your basket is too deep...add some crinkled cellophane to the bottom.
