So my kids seem to look more forward to their stockings than their gifts lol..what all do you put in stockings?..i know of people that go crazy with them..like spend $100 on A single one..but I personally think that is insane..I do however get tired of pencils and stickers..so I was wondering what you creative , crafty ladies put in your stockings....

My mom always put a chocolate orange in our stocking. When we got a little bit older we got toilteries. Harry is getting a fun toothbrush, new toothpaste, and then some little art materials.

We do the toothbrush/paste thing, too.  My daughter just turned four and is obsessed with chapstick, so we'll include that this year.   She's also turning into a mini-craftster, so I'll be putting together some age-appropriate craft "kits" (don't tell anyone, but it will all be things I already have on hand!).  Oh, and fruit and bubble bath.

I don't plan on spending more than $10 (likely much less) on her stocking.  The most expensive thing will probably be a pomegranate!

I got a couple of woodworking kits at michaels for my eldest. They are a dollar and he loves painting them and putting them together. Maybe tht would work. I also gave themto my niece and nephew last year and they had a blast with them.

I have to say the stocking stuffing is for me even better than buying the bigger gifts.  I usually raid the Dollar Store and the dollar isle at Target. I usually stuff these bad boys till the are overfilled and can not hang lol.  Dollar Store has selections for every age. I also love AC Moore they have adorable craft items for a dollar.  Just last week I bought 3d animal craft for a dollar.  What age are you dear ones?

Great ideas !  I'm really out for ideas (inexpensive) or free items.  No more paychecks !

I also put homemade cookies and candy.  A few years ago I started putting some breakfast in the stockings.  Muffins, fruit, homemade bread.
