Hi,
My name is Louise. I'm from New Brunswick, Canada. I love to make gifts and decorations for Christmas. Although I don't have time to make a homemade gift for everyone on my list I select one or two from the list and make something for them. I rotate the names and eventually everyone at some point will have something homemade from me. I usually manage to make a few decorations or dishcloths as stocking stuffers for some of those who aren't on the list that year. I'm a knitter and I also do some embroidery. One of my New Year's Resolutions is to learn to either crochet or cross stitch in the coming new year.
This year I'm making knitted placemats for those on this year's list. They get a least 4 placemats. If they have a bigger family, they will get how many they need so no one is left out.
I look forward to reading about the great ideas I'm sure you all have.
Louise
Once again, welcome.

One of my favorite things to do for teachers is to buy a large can of fruit cocktail - the pop-top kind. Use a Pampered Chef can opener & take the bottom off. (It has to be the kind of can opener that unseals the can, not cuts it.) Empty the contents & wash out. Then fill it with things like staples, chalk, paper clips, candy, etc... Super glue the bottom back on. Decorate the outside of the can with paper & ribbon & such...
Then they'll have to "pop the top" to get the goodies inside!
