Haunted House Halloween Birthday Party Ideas

My daughter was born October 16, so this year she says that she wants a Halloween Birthday Party. She wants a Haunted house in my garage. Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions?

I had a halloween party for my sons 3rd birthday.  I got pumpkins at the local farmers markets and let the kids take them home to carve.  A fun drink I made was orange soda with vanillia ice cream and added dry ice.
