i made this wreath.... it's supposed to be a kids project ages 4 and up but it really took me a long time to do it, so i think it's more for older children... the directions are on this site

i took a picture of ds holding a heart that says i love you. we then bought some of those foam frames and he is decorating them with stickers. i'm going to put the picture in them and give them to grandparents and aunts. it's a nice project for any age, my son is 2 and had no problems doing it.

The most memorable thing I remember about valentines day is that my mom would always sneak something small into our bookbags or lunchboxes for us to find when we got to school. Even when I was a highschooler this tradition still stuck. One year, I was actually going to my husband's (then boyfriend) graduation from basic training (which was on Valentines Day) and when I got to my hotel room, I unpacked my bag and there sat a little 4 inch teddy bear and a note from my mom. I can't wait to do this for my kids!!! For some reason I don't ever remember expecting something from my mom, although she did it every year.

This year I'm trying to think of something cute to do for my daughter's first valentines day/ something to do for my husband, who will be away at sapper school on valentines day. Any ideas ... I'm looking!!
