Looking for Valentine ideas for classmates & teachers

Posted by   + Show Post

Hello all you creatively brilliant mom's!

I'm looking for Valentine ideas to do for my son's classmates & teachers. My youngest son is in a class with only 5 other preschoolers & 4 teachers, so since there's not a huge amount to do, I'd like to do something a little nicer than the ordinary valentine card from the box. I also have an older son (9) in a very small classroom as well that I'd like to do something for so I'm looking for ideas for varying ages. I'm sure many of you will have some terrific ideas, can't wait to read/see them! Thanks!!! Kristina

you could get some white chocolate chips, melt them in the microwave and use it to do chocolate covered pretzels. then you get some pink and red sprinkles or make your own with food coloring and sugar and sprinkle it over them.  put them in some ziploc bags decorated with hearts and there you go.

I decided to make these last night, I thought the mini reeces peices were way to big for  earbuds so I hotglued candy hearts to the ends of my strings instead :)

ETA:  "labels" you can print them right from familyfun's website, but I hate wastefullness, and the fact that it only printed two to a page really bugged me. So I bought a pack of name badges at Dollar Tree(You can buy them anywhere tho)  (it prints 8 to a sheet) they are similar to Avery 5895 each label is the perfect size for the wheel and playlist.  These are two of the playlists I used, you can just copy and paste them right into any program that you can print labels in, alot of people use Microsoft Works :)

I found this adorable idea I am going to do for my daughters class...probably pink & purple for girls and maybe blue & green for boys...the kids in your oldests' class would probably love them, and since it's a box of conversation hearts and a few other supplies, shouldn't be too expensive (the convo hearts I can usually be found pretty inexpensively):

Quoting HeidiConnell:

A friend of mine who's son was in preschool with my son always made the greatest treats for Valentines day.  She made rice crispy treats and pressed them into a funnel in order to create the look of a Hershey's kiss.  She would wrap them in aluminum foil and attach a little banner note (like a kiss) that said Happy Valentines Day From..."

It was really cute. Now that my family has moved I am really excited to use her idea for my kids classrooms this year!

I *love* the candy hearts for the earbuds idea - thanks!! We are making ours tonight and I bought rollos (because they were cheaper than reese's plus the whole peanut butter issue, I just didn't want to chance it) - however I think I will save the rollos for another use and use your idea with our extra candy hearts. Thanks again!! They look adorable :)

A few years ago we made heart shaped crayons for the kids/teachers. My boys loved helping peel the wrappers off the crayons and break them up. See my blog for some photos....

we did a cute pencil holder last year, but I don't think I took pictures. I will have to search a bit. I am almost positive I got the idea from Family Fun or Kaboose.com
