There are a wealth of handmade gits for mom listed in the forum "Gift ideas for the ladies you know".

I just wanted to direct you there as a good place to get started!  I am still deciding what I am making my mom and MIL's for the big day so I will be adding more things I find here so I can share them with you.  Please feel free to share your handmade gifts for mom here!
