What is exactly is an AKO for; and what are reasons a wife could give there husband for wanting there AKO password?

I have my hubbies password so I could look into a service att offered for military. I have all my hubbies passwords, and he has mine though. So it wasn't a big deal when I asked for it. The AKO stands for Army Knowledge Online I believe. It is how they check their government email.
