Hi there, my name is Marivel, and I am currently living in Alice Springs Australia. My husband is in the US Army, and we will be stationed at Fort Carson in the next couple of months. I'm looking for all kinds of different and useful information about base housing, schools, pretty much any kind of information and advice for living there. I have three children; Jacob-11 Adriana-10 and Alex-3. I am so looking forward to a nice change of cooler weather :)

We have only been here since the first of November and like it so far. Facebook has loads of groups, so many sometimes its hard to keep track of them.
best bet is to go to the carson web site it can be useful (most of the time) and then www.fortcarsonfamilyhousing.com is the website for housing. The school district for base is district 8. you will be assigned to a school by the school liasion (make sure to call them.) once you find out what housing village you will be in.
