Well Ladies we won't be there until next summer, we are coming with 4 ID  and I am just curious what the rent is like up there. I know I could check online but I would rather hear from real people. I would be looking for a 4 bedroom in a decent neighborhood nothing fancy. Thanks in Advance every one

well if you want to live close to post your going to pay well over $1200 to $1500 a month. thats right now. if you dont mind driving about 30min to post then you will pay way less. like under $1,000. we just tough it out an live on post. however we are moving after hubbies deployment next year. so its not that big of a deal for us. a good place to look online would be realtors.com

oh if your staying for a while you may be better off buying a house. you will pay less that way.

We moved up here last june with the 4th id and we lived in a 1400 square foot 4 bedroom (very small bedrooms) and we paid 950 a month plus utitlities.  For a bigger and better place than we had you are looking at 1000+ a month.  your best bet would to start looking now on the internet and possibly call a rental place and have them help you out.  That is what we did.  But be careful cause our place looked better on the computer than it did when we got here.  And don't rent from Town and Country  Reality that is who we rented from and they screwed us over.  Utilities here are not that high and a lot of the houses here donot have a/c.  They will have swamp coolers or window units or nothing at all.  But houses do have heaters.  Even on post alot of the houseing doesn't have a/c except the brand new housing where we live  now and some of the select few.  Hope I was of some help.  Let me know if you ned more info and when you get here.

Houses without AC that's a little wierd to me I am born and raised in Texas so the thought of being without air conditioning is really really scary. But is utilities aren't too bad than 1000 a month would be ok

all the houses on post should have a/c now. they started last summer putting them in. the house i lived at on post first got a/c last summer. then we moved into another house on post in may this summer an it has a/c.

they didnt have a/c before because the summers here are really short. even though they can be really hot.

We just moved here at the end of July. We are 4 miles off the back gate. It takes DH about twenty minutes to get to work. We had a lot of success with ahrn.com. Our rental company is csrentals.com. We pay $900 for a four bedroom, 2,500 SF home.

our four bedroom rent was $1195.  If not moving to CO don't look now look closer to the time. and try www.militarybuyowner.com  co then rent and bedrooms ou want.    I remember looking I called the people three weeks before going down there and lookking at homes.  we looked at 20 houses in two days.  I got advice from the girls at the hotel about the schools.  Try to look in the school dist under 20.  I know I like dist. 8 ft carson dist. it is financed through Ft Carson, Fountain, CO.

we pay  800 for a huge 2bdrm off post in a great school district. so a couple more bdrms would be probably a couple more hundred??
