Hello!
I am looking for suggestions on how to help my DD (6 y old - PDD-NOS) do chores. For example, I would love to see that she is able to look for something without having a major meltdown. The phrase "you need to look for ...." always throw her in a meltdown since she has been 3 years old.
Also, I would love to hear suggestion on how to teach her to organize her toys and bedroom.
We do the reward system. however, it seems that something goes off in her mind anytime she needs to look for something or pick up after her. It is exhausting to have a meltdown anytime that we need to clean up or look for something.
I know that I hated to do those things when I was her age, I still do, but I do not remember getting so upset. It only took for my Dad to look at me and I had my room clean.
I see this is something that will become a bigger and bigger issue this summer.
Thank you very much
YB
