hemangioma on left uppr eyelid
Hello moms & dads. I am a mother of three (2 boys & 1 girl)
My daughter is 9 weeks old and the hemangioma started to appear around Christmas time and was more noticable when she was around 6-7 weeks old. It's sometimes noticeable and sometimes not. But as a mother, I'm always worried about the worse that can happen. Like affecting their eye sight. Does anyone ave an update/status n their baby's H that i can look at? Or somewods of inspriation? I'm stressed and don't know who else to consult besides mother's who has similar situation.
Your reply is greatly appreciated.
Hi.
I'm a little confused when you say your baby has a hemangioma... sometimes it's visible and sometimes, it's not.
My first suggestion is to get a definitel diagnosis of a hemangioma. Has your doctor said that's what it is? If so, has she/he been, at the very least, monitoring it for growth? Have you looked for a specialist in your area? They can give you up to date information and protocol for treating (or not - not all hemangiomas need to be treated).
*If* your baby has a hemangioma and *if* it grows, it *could* start to affect her eyesight. That said, it might not be a hemangioma... it might not grow (each case is different)... it might grow and not interfere with her sight. Too many variables to even suggest.
My biggest suggestion is for you to get a proper diagnosis and to look for a specialist or a team of specialists to keep an eye on the hemangioma. DO NOT google pictures of hemangiomas as much of what is posted online seems to be worst case scenario pictures which will stress you even more.
