The CARES harness keeps children (aged 1-5) safe and makes navigating the airport with young ones easier. I purchased two CARES for both my kids and it has made traveling sooo much easier for my family! Read my interview with CARES inventor, Louise Stoll, a grandmother passionate about children's safety who was appointed as CFO of the Transportation Department for the Clinton Administration. And, learn 2 easy ways to win a CARES (retail price $74.95). http://www.travelmamas.com/wordpress/?p=586 I am not being paid by CARES - I simply love this product and want to make it easier for fellow Travel Mamas to travel safely and sanely with their kids!
The FAA advises parents to avoid the hazard of flying with lap children. The FAA website asks, “Did you know the safest place for your little one during turbulence or an emergency is in an approved child restraint system (CRS) or device, not on your lap?” The site continues, “FAA strongly urges parents and guardians to secure children in an appropriate restraint based on weight and size. Keeping a child in a CRS or device during the flight is the smart and right thing to do.”
I hope you'll enter! Good luck!
