WE ARE LEAVING FOR FLA IN 3 WEEKS AND I AM FLYING WITH A INFANT WHAT SHOULD I HAVE TO TAKE ON THE PLANE AND DOSE ANYONE KNOW THE FAA REGS ON FORMULA OR BREASTMILK HOW MUCH CAN I BRING WITH ME?![]()
Hi there! I flew with my son when he was 7 months old and it went really well. I found the flight crew to be very supportive and the other passengers to be really patient and kind. Way better than I expected, as I always used to cringe at the sight of a baby on a plane. I'm not sure about maximum formula quantities as Gabriel is breastfed. I just wanted to respond in general and say that it will probably be easier than you are anticipating! Also, you referred to your child as an infant, and I really think the younger they are the easier it is. Smaller babies tend to sleep a lot on flights. A new toy proved to be a lot of fun for my son, and I was glad I had brought multiple outfits for him and a spare t-shirt for myself. To combat sore ears, I have heard that nursing (or feeding) during takeoff and landing can really help. Good luck!
I would read older posts that have been posted the past few months. I found them to be extremely informative and will answer your questions about traveling with a little one.
Here is a link to the FAA website article about formula and breatmilk. Have a great trip!
