weekend getaways with kids near NJ???

Hi ladies,

We live in southern NJ. Im looking for a fun place to go with my 7 year old for a weekend. Anyone have any ideas?

Although I have never been there myself, we do plan on going to a Splash Lagoon.  Several friends of ours have been there with children of different ages.  It is in PA but not far from jersay.  It is an indoor waterpark.  Hope that is helpful - also in PA is hershey park and sesame place but maybe no so good in winter time?!?

Hello Michelle

You may want to check out Great Wolf Lodge.  There is one in the Poconos in Pa.  Its an indoor water park! My 8 year old loved it.  It looks a little pricy at first, but the price includes a room and admission to the waterpark.  We arrived at Noon on check in day and were able to get our wrist band to go to the water park until we could officially check into our room, they stored our suitcase.  We did the same when we officially checked out, we stayed in the park until 8pm, so it was well worth the money! It was awesome! He keeps asking when we can go back! TIP: if you go... bring water shoes, all day walking on the concrete might make little feet sore.
