My hubby and I are planning a trip to Ireland summer of 2013!!!!! It's for my 30th b-day. Anybody have any travel tips, sites, dos/don'ts?? We plan on going to max 10days. It will be the first time we've been away from our 5yr old for more than 2 days. And the first time across the big ocean. So nervous, but excited!!!
I was just reading an article on Ireland 5 minutes ago! The AAA magazine has it featured with lots of good info... see if you can find it online or at a library.. pretty cool! ...
Have fun!! My best friend went there to run a marathon and she loved it! :0)
Ireland is fab and a Great Place to go with young kids!
I can highly recommend County -Donnegal as a base if you really want to kick back and relax! Must sees, The City of Dublin obviously, but also Cork, The Wicklow Mountains, Belfast and Cohn.
Are you planning to fly directly into London from the States? and then get a domestic flight to Dublin or Shannon? My youngest was 6 months old and the other kids were 2 and 5 when we did it. It was fine.
My top tip would be to get a rental car- then you can really explore Irelend's gems. We loved it !
