Our dream is to sell it all and move into a new RV and travel the US for at least a couple of years! We have a nine year old still at home ( We have 2 grown children w/3 grandkids too) and we want him to have this awesome experience! We want to home school and let him learn US history up close and personal.

Not to mention, we are SO TIRED of the rat race, and understand fully how quickly this time passes, and want to make the most of the little time we have with our son and each other! SIMPLIFY!!!!!

Would love to hear if anyone has done this, thought/dreamed of doing it, knows somebody wha has done it, etc...  Let;s hear it!

We homeschool our girls and travel with them.  We don't have an RV (we have a very nice minivan with all the accessories) but would love to do that on and off in the near future.  Because of activities the girls are involved in here at home we have to schedule our traveling accordingly.  Such as their ballet practice for the Nutcracker and special Girl Scouting events.  We can even do Girl Scouting on the road as I am their leader.  And when we are on the road it is so much fun for the girls to earn badges for their Girl Scouting.  We live in the desert southwest so there's not a lot we can do as far as leaf collecting and such like that.  The girls got to get their leaves from the great redwood forest in California and will be recieving a badge for that.

If you need help with homeschooling or have any questions feel free to email or pm me anytime.  There are many theme parks that have homeschool days.  One is Dollywood in Tennassee.  They have lots of arts and crafts and they show how people lived many years ago.  We will be attending that one next year.  We went to homeschool days at Disney World a couple of years ago and it was so much fun!  They had special classes at the Animal Kingdom that the girls really enjoyed.  And in Epcot they learned about children from all around the world, their cultures, and made some cool crafts.  The food sampling was a favorite too.  We are headed to Disneyland this November and plan on doing the tour A Walk In Walts Footsteps to learn about the history of Disney, then go shell hunting on the beach and learn about the tides.  A fun time for all!

My family has a street rod. so we traveled all summer to different car shows while i was growing up. We weren't home schooled, but i meet alot of friends at shows that were. My best friend was from montana. Her dad did pin striping on cars. I saw her all over the us. They had an old school bus they turned into a motorhome. She had a younger brother and sister. i would see her at maybe 2 different shows a year and i would waite all winter to see her and hear what she learned and see pictures. I would love to travel with my kids like she got to. If i ever got the chance i would take it and run!

We did! Well we didn't sell. We rented our primary residence and hit the road. We have a large class A motorhome with 2 dogs, 1 cat, a 2 year old daughter and another girl due in a couple weeks. We have been full time 4 months now and it's GREAT!
