Government Grants

Has anyone found any government grants to help pay medical bills? I've been surfing all night and have not found much.  I am sure they are out there, maybe I'm just not looking in the right places? I know you can get SSI, but I think Tyler weighed too much when he was born, and he has no other disability.  Thoughts? Ideas/

He was 2 lbs 8 oz.  Tyler seems to be a popular name right now!! Illinois has All Kids that covers every child for insurance issues, but we are looking more for help paying bills.  My fiancee and I both have great insurance for him, but I was off work for so long, we are pretty strapped for cash.

At 2 lbs 8 oz he is an auto qualification for SSI (depending on your income). They need to be under 1200 grams (my LO was 1105 at 2 lbs 7 oz). Getting SSI is also a automatic qualification for medical. The medical will go back three months (again depends on income). I would check into the medicaid, and SSI.

Other than that, I don't know of anything.
