Hi I am new to cafemom, and Moms of Preemies.
My son Aidan was born on 12/21/06, 6 weeks early. He was IUGR (Inter Uterine Growth Restriction) and I was forming symptoms of pre-eclampsia, and I had a low level of amniotic fluid. So my doctors decided they could do more for Aidan outside than inside the womb. We weighed 3 lbs 6 ozs. But was healthy. He spent 2 1/2 weeks in the NICU to "feed and grow" as they call it. He is now 8 weeks old, and a happy healthy boy, and is growing like a weed.
Can't wait to "meet" other moms of preemies and hear their stories.
Cris

So nice to meet you Cris,
Huge congratulations on your little miracle! Welcome to our wonderful group. I had absolutely no amniotic fluid left when I delivered Emma at 27 weeks. The incredible doctors and nurses do such an amazing job with these little angels, don't they?
I look forward to hearing more about your precious baby.
Regards,
Donna

Congratulations on your little one. And home in 2 1/2 weeks, not bad. I'm happy for you and glad he's doing well.
