there was no medical reasoning as to why i went into labor so early but my doctor said the cances of my next one (if there is a next one) being a preemie is great... so sad.

who has more then one preemie?

who has had a full term after a preemie?

There was also no reason they could find as to why I went into labor early. I only have one right now, but my doctor has told me that chances are good I won't have another one early. It seems like most people do have preemies after they've had one once, but it makes me feel better that he seems to think that it's very well possible I won't have another one premature.

All 3 of my boys were preemies. 2 at 32 weeks and 1 at 28 weeks. I didn't go into labor, I got HELLP Syndrome and Pre E in all of them. With Dylan, I was in almost complete liver failure and they had to take him!

I've definitely heard of many moms going on to have term babies after a preemie, I just didn't happen to be one of those.

Ds1 34 weeker pre e help syndrome. Ds 2 37weeks even! Pre e again but was on two monthes of bedrest. Also ive heard with pre e the closer they are (pregnancies) better chances for pre e. Mine are 14 months.

My mom had weak cervice dd1 36 weeks 5 lbs
Dd2 35 weeks 4 lbs (15 month gap) dd3 me 32 weeks 2 lbs (17) month gap. She refused to try again.

My 3 are all preemies. My twins were born at 34 weeks due to growth issues and I was developing preE. My baby girl was born at 32 weeks due to severe preE. My girls are 6 years apart.

My first was a 32 weeker. No reason for it, just went into sudden fast labor.

With my second they put me on weekly 17p (progesterone) shots from 16 to 36 weeks To try and prevent pretm labor. I started having contractions and cervix was short and thinning at 23 weeks. But I was not dilated. I was on modified bedrest from 23 to 36 weeks. My water broke at 37 weeks 2 days and I had a healthy 7 lb 10 oz baby boy. He was a few weeks early, but considered full term.

I'd have another if we decide we want 3 kids sometime in the future.

My first was full term with the help of a cerclage (I have an incompetent cervix). My son was born at 34 weeks. My doctor told me that I was lucky to have made it that far and that, if I had another, I probably wouldn't get that far again. He told me that it would essentially be against medical advice for me to get pregnant again. That was fine by me because we were done anyway. My body hates pregnancy. I had my tubes burned when my son was a few months old.

My son was born at 31 weeks 3 days due to severe pre-eclampsia. I was told I had about a 30% chance of it happening again with a 2nd pregnancy; so with my daughter I was put on bp medication & monitored very closely. I did develop pre-eclampsia with her as well but at 39 weeks & she was born completely healthy thank God!
