Hi my name is Samantha and I'm new to this group and I was just wondering what you're stories are when you had your mini baby :)

Here's mine:

I went to my 30 weeks appointment on January 20th and the dr noticed my blood pressure was elevated. So they sent me to the hospital. After them sending me home, I ended up going back to the hospital with a horrible headache and tight chest. They admitted me after my blood pressure was 150/110. Put me immediately on Magnesium Sulfate (yuk!) and wouldn't let me leave. On January 24th I had my Dad with me in my room keeping me company before visiting hours were over. We were laughing and talking and having a great time and then I just felt very strange. Thought I had to use the bathroom but the lady in the room with me had just given birth to her baby and was in and out of the bathroom. So my Dad and I walked to the receptionist and asked if there was a private bathroom I could use. I used the bathroom and felt relieved but when I went back to my room I still felt strange so my Dad and I walked back to the private bathroom. I sat on the toilet and all I heard was POP! When I looked down there was blood everywhere. I hit the help button and called my Dad and within 2 seconds there was 12 nurses and drs there for me. They put me on a stretcher and checked me, I was 1 cm dilated so they rushed me downstairs to triage. They tried to get the baby's heartbeat but couldn't find it so they brought in an emergency ultrasound machine. The ultrasound tech yelled at the dr to be quiet so she could get the heartbeat. Everyone in the room got silent and was looking at the machine and what seemed like a lifetime, found the heartbeat. I was rushed to the o.r. and they did emergency c-section and I had my son at 9:15pm he weighed 2.2 pounds :)

I had a  28 weeker.  That is a frightening story - sounds like your lil one is quite a survivor!  I had HELLP Syndrome.  and it developed within days.  When she was born my husband started crying because he thought she wasnt alive.  But she was, it was just the icky stuff on her.  Going from a October baby to July baby was pretty crazy!  Totally agree about the Mag S - that stuff can make you insanely hot!  It was 50 deg in my room and I was still hot!  I remember being so swollen the bottoms of my feet were and my toes wouldnt touch the floor.  Thank God we all made it alive.  We spent 2 months in NICU.  And no she is a bouncing +13lb baby!  Eating carrots and oatmeal with no problems!

Its amazing how these little people can fight!
