Kaiya is 2 weeks old today.  She was born at 31 weeks 6 days so tomorrow she will be 34 weeks and we will be starting bottle feeds then.   I am so excited.  I am so much in love with this little itty bitty girl.   She was on cpap for the first 6 days of her life and then went to oxygen.  They took her off the oxygen today and she didnt have any desats all morning.   Its so nice to be able to see that pretty little face with out the oxygen hooked up to her.  SHe moved to a real bed yesterday and is maintaining her temperature really well.   SHe hasnt had any episodes in a couple days so that is great news.  She had a bunch on Tuesday and it was because she had boogers in her nose.   Thanks so much for the prayers I know that I am new here and you guys made me feel really welcome here.

She really sucks like crazy on her paci so I hope this means she will take the bottle well.  Can anyone share their bottle learning experiences with me so I can kinda know what to expect....     My leave from work is gonna be over in 6 weeks so I really want her  home.   I am getting comfy with changing her diaper and dressing her around her leads and all that.   ANd boy does this girl ever poop up a storm.  The nurses assure me this is a good thing but man she is queen of the poopy girls.   Anyway I wanted to update you all.

Here is a picture I took today.  Sorry quality isnt great its cell phone pic..

Yay! I was just thinking about you today! Bekah took to feeding like a champ :) but she had much more issues with breathing. My point being that all preemie babies are different, with different struggles... I'll be praying she is home with you super soon!
