Boy Yes had sufractant, which is the steriods.  Also had Progesterone shots once a week to keep me from going into labor. Also had a surclage so I can't dialate. In the hospital had magnesium for his brain development. My son was born at 26 weeks. In NICU for 100 days exactly. He is now 8 months old, 5 months adjusted, around 3 or 5 months developmentally.

37 weeks, steroids at 36 weeks, 2 weeks in the NICU but right back in the hospital after 24 hrs of being released for 1 week. I was grateful it was only a few weeks. O and I had a boy. My first born was a girl and healthy meaning no NICU stay.

My son was born April 19th 2013, I was 33 week. I got one shot of steriods and was supposed to get another shot at 3:45 the day I had my son but he didn't want to wait that long and he came at 2:09 weighing 4Lbs 11 1/2Oz

He spent 18 days in NICU due to the fact that he had tongue tie.He was at one hospital for about 16 days, and then they transfered him to another hospital because he was no longer in need of intensive care and I am so glad they transfered him because if they didn't then he would of been in the hospital long past his due of June 6th due to the fact that his tongue tie issue could not be fixed at the hospital I delivered him in. And once he got his minor surgery he was home just a few days later.

My daughter was born at 31 weeks due to preeclampsia I was in the hospital for a week prior to having her. They gave me 2 shots of steroids and she was born 2/13/12 weighing 2 lbs 13oz (crazy coincidence) and she stayed in the nicu for almost 2 months. She came home the day after easter. Shes 15 months now and doin excellent.

DS was 25 weeks, 1lb 7oz. We were in the NICU for 92 days. I had 2 steroid shots and he was treated with caffeine off and on for the frat few weeks. He just turned 1. He is doing very well. The only concern is his slow weight gain. But he eats like crazy. He just moves constantly. To top it off, he is crawling now so I really can't get him to hold still! No wonder he gains slowly. He just works it off all day long.

How is your son now?
