Can you tell us something significant about your town?  Does is have the oldest building, a special landmark?  Was it a hopping town in the early 1900's etc.  Can you post just one??  I think it will be fun to learn a few new things about our state!

Back before the trains and gas vehicles came thru, our area was a very popular stop along the Grand River.  We had a huge lumbermill in town and it employed most of the town.  We have beams in our house that were milled at the lumbermill, which now sits empty.  Our town is now quite small with less than 1000 in population.  JUST the way I like it lol.

Yeah I think so

I just moved here to Coopersville in December but I have found it has a pretty awesome train. They let people ride on it during the year for events. Today though they're having a festival downtown and it has to do with outhouses. Not sure what else I can't wait to find out more about this place.

The city I grew up in some people were affraid to visit because the kkk leader lived there. But I think that problems been squashed and people don't mention it much anymore which is good. Its also been to me a nice quiet neighborhood.

Marine City was called Newport before it became incorperated in the 1900's.It was a wooden ship building town until  steel freighters came along. It is on the St.Clair river and 20 minutes from Lake Huron.
