Ok, so I know we live in MI and could still get snow again lol, but lets just HOPE that Spring is really here to stay. That means rain, thunderstorms and last night tornadoes!! Did you see any where you are?? Our sirens when off, which is a rare thing for us. The storms usually pop around us since we live along I-96. Even the winter storms are rarely the worse here. Did you head to your basement? When you hear sirens what is the first thing you do?
I heard the sirens looked outside and it was dry, clear and thought, 'what's the deal?" So I turned on my laptop to live woodtv8.com they were covering the storm and while I told the kids to get shoes and such on to head to the basement (our entrance is outside) I watched to find out what was going on. The storm was north of us, by Greenville, but since a part of our county was under the watch, they sound the sirens for the whole county. So I told the kids never mind, texted my friend who last time ran over in her PJ's to join us (we had a basement party lol) and life went on a usual. So nothing to worry about. We didn't even get bad wind. How about you? I hear some ppl are even without power.
Here is a handy reminder of what the difference between a watch and warning are, I know it's for Nashville, but the information still applies

We are over in SW Michigan and got some bad weather Tuesday night. There were sirens and we were out at the library so we had to take cover as is their policy. When we are at home and hear the sirens we head to the basement. My oldest is really scared of anything more than rain (thunderstorms work her up, tornados send her into rapid breathing and freaking out). It makes her feel better that we are in the basement.
I am counting our blessing and praying for those not as lucky. Though a little spring weather would be nice. I would like to get out a bit. We need to go open up the camper and air out from the winter, grass needs mowed, but most of the 4 acres is flooded.
