All I can say is to be strong, and you will get through it. My daughter was born with a bilateral cleft lip/palate and we didn't even know till she was born. She has had 5 surgeries total so far, 3 lip and nose repair and 2 palate. It was hard for me in the beginning especially since they never caught it on any of the ultra sounds. It did get better, and it will make you a stronger person. You will need to be very patient. You will get through it and that baby will sure be worth it!!!

I know what you are going through, just remember that it is not from anything you have done during your pregnancy. Things happen in life that we just can't change, it makes us a better person and not to take anything for granted. Stay strong, and you will get through it.

Find a craniofacial surgeon first! I find out Zoe had a cleft lip and palate when I was four months pregnant. Once I found her surgeon they took care of everything! Her surgeon had an assistant and she was our angel in disguise. She took care of everything. From the bottles to the feeding specialist appointments. Look online at the Craniofacial Foundation of American.
