I think that the first thing that you need to decide is whether you are looking for a job at home or a home based business. If you are looking for a job at home you may want to try something like 1-800- Flowers or Teletech@home. There are other companies that will hire you to work from home but my understanding is that the positions are few and far between. I think that CNN.com recently did a story on various companies that will hire at home workers.
If you think you might be interested in a home based business there will be a lot of people who will give you a lot of information about many different companies. This can be overwhelming so what I would suggest is that if you are looking into home based businesses you should take some time to determine what it is that you are interested in selling and discover what kind of company you would feel comfortable representing. Once you have read all of the posts and done a little thinking it is always a good idea to check the DSA. This organization does a lot of research and sets up standards that many Direct Sales Companies strive to be a part of. Their website is www.dsa.org. It will also lead you to more detailed information about the various companies.
