What is your WHY?

Many of us know that when growing a Business from Home our WHY is more important than anything else! Our WHY is what gets us through those Obstacles, Walls and Discouraging Moments as we go through our Journey! My WHY has been my strongest part of becoming successful! Let's all share our WHY....

My WHY is to give my Girl's what I didn't have growing up, To be able to spend each and everyday with them, To have the Luxury of Experiencing as much as I can in my lifetime and allowing my daughter's to do the same, To Live my Life to it's Fullest and never have to look back and say "I wish I had done that"... To GIVE BACK to as many as I can, even if I put a small impact in changing the world and making it a better place, I would have fulfilled my part... and would feel like I had done my best to do what we are all put here to do!

My WHY to work at home is my three kids. I want to be home with them and not have to take them to a sitter while I go out to work. I also want to be able to do more with things with my kids than what we have done because we just couldn't do much financially.

My WHY to work from home are my two boys.  I want to be able to offer them the freedoms of life that to this point I have not been able to enjoy.  My oldest son turned 17 today and my youngest is 12 so it is to enjoy their young teen and adult lives and enjoy the families they have.  I LOVE to travel and would love nothing more than to travel when I want and not when others tell me I can.  There is so much that life has to offer and I don't want to miss it.

My Why...I started my Pampered Chef biz because I was an at home mom and I wanted to get out of the house and meet new people.  At the time I had one son and was pg with #2, now I have 3 wonderful boys and I do occasionally need a break!  I am so glad that I started because I have made so many friends and met so many people that, otherwise, I would not have met.  I like being able to take care of my kids, and still have some me time.  Yes, my me time is when I am working.  I love my job and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This question makes me think of the old bear commercials.

"Why ask why? Try Bud Dry."

Does anyone remember those commercials?

Seriously though.  My why is to get out of debt and to create some financial security for my family.  I don't beleive that the politicians will do it for me.

My 'why' is to also have the ability to stay home with my girls.  As they grow and become more and more involved in activities, I want the flexibility to attend all of their events.  I'm also building my business to have more time with my husband.  He works a lot and that keeps him away from us and he misses out on a lot of stuff.  I want him to share in all of those growing moments with me and the girls.

My WHY IS TO RAISE MY OWN CHILDREN. i REFUSE TO GO TO WORK AND PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO RAISE MY KIDS!!   I'M MY OWN BOSS, AND I'M NOT KILLING MYSELF MAKING OTHERS RICHER AND MYSELF POORER. LIVING PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK IS NOT SECURITY. FINDING OTHER MUTLITPLE STREAMS OF INCOME FOR YOUR FAMILY PROVIDES SECURITY.

My WHY...

That has been a good question all throughout my learning process and starting my home business. I seem to have a new WHY everyday. As most of us already stated, my number 1 WHY is my children. I want to be able to provide them with a stable and safe living environment (outside of the home). I want to be able to provide the means to better schooling, as most schools in my entire city is not where they should be academically. I want to be able to stay at home with my kids, and be at home for the others when they arrive from school. I want to leave a legacy behind, for my children to pick up on. I want to set an example for my children, teaching them that everything in life comes with a lot of work and patience and to never give up. I want to be able to send all of my children to college without having to worry about where I'll get the funds, or government grants. I want to be able to stay at home and watch my grandchildren during the day, so that my children doesn't have to send them to day cares. (that's an option I didn't have) Last, I want to be able to look back on my life 10, 15, 20 years down the line and be confident that I made the right decision in starting my home business, and be proud of the outcome of it all! I have a lot of WHY'S as you can see. But I have to take it one day at a time, keeping it all in mind, and believing and having faith that one day, I'll see my WHY'S in motion. And then I'll need new WHY'S !

My #1 why is like a lot of you, my son and future children. But my #2 why is all about me.

I adore being a mom. There is nothing I enjoy more than being home with my son and doing all the day to day fun things. Although it is rewarding, I get very few "Thank Yous". I don't hear "Wow, you went the extra mile on those mashed potatoes mom" or "I appreciate you showing me how to button my shirt".

However when I do Tupperware parties or deliver excellent customer service, I do hear those things. It's so much fun and fulfilling and I love that I'm successful at something!!

I love being the world to my son, but I also like feeling like I'm more than just a mom, I'm Jen too!

My WHY is to quit my job, pay for my kids' college without assuming a mountain of debt and to take family vacations - the best time to bond as a family, I believe.
