Hi,

I am a new member I joined today nov. 6th. My daughter is 5 years old and was diagnosed with depression about a week ago. I am hoping to find support and ideas to help my child get to a better place. I am looking forward to meeting new friends as well!

that is terrible to be that young and have depression. If you need anything, let me know.

wow, that poor little girl. Could you possibly list some of the symptoms that a five year old has vs. an adult? I know that depression is hereditary so if we knew the symptoms we could know if our children is showing signs. I know it's really hard for adults to have depression, but a five year old, that's got to be the hardest.

How are you coping with it? I'm sure you have your ups and downs on a daily basis. If we knew some of the things that your doing to cope maybe we could help to give you more options that may help you out more. Thoughts are with you....
